Wild life shots, oh and the K9 kind too! ;0)
This is one of the deer in my yard. About 25 feet from the Hot tub. This is the proud buck, just look at him! Crikey! He's magnificent in his glory isn't he?
Now here you see 2 of my Fur Baby Labbies! This black fella is named Wynn. He has pellets made of lead in both hind quarters in the soft tissue. In MA it is illegal to use anything other than steel.
Some man in North Florida decided to play Animal Control Officer when he was walking into his yard and shot his behind with a shot gun! Imagine.. Guess what? No charges were pressed against the IDIOT! The Humane Society intervened right away and got him to the vets. Seems a kind neighbor heard the shotgun blast and called for help. So he was neutered, spayed given all the vaccinations a dog should have and sent to a wonderful Foster Mother who works with the American Lab Rescue Group.
We got Wynn last December for my hubbies Birthday. Now just last Saturday we made the drive once again to Glastonbury CT to wait a few hours and pick up a few more Labbies! This time a pair of siblings, 14 months old. Black female and Yellow male. Beautiful dogs.... We were taken a back by the size of the Yellow male to say the least. He is over one hundred pounds and stand as tall as my kitchen counters! He's not overweight either, just big...ENORMOUS even. His sister is a tad bit smaller at 80 pounds.
They came from Alabama. Their female owner had become gravely ill and was no longer able to care for them is what we were told. Either that or she couldn't control the powerful dogs and had obviously failed to teach them to sit, stay, heel or come when called and it was enough for her to quit.. Who really knows?
She named them Chicken and Marcella.
( no one told her it was spelled Marsala if she was talking about dinner!)
How silly is that? We have renamed them. Of course, they deserve better than that!
They now proudly carry the monikers of Maxx. E. Moose ( for sheer size!) and Ruby.
Ruby & Max! Noggins show by Rosemary Wells. I love her books, her illustrations and the song.. :}
So these 2 blacks are Wynn & Ruby and then another picture of the deer, you can see the three of them here.
I'll try for a card or two tomorrow. No school for my kids so we shall have to wait and see. Hoppy Easter Weekend!

Singing in the Rain.. Just Singing in the Rain
"Oh I love a rainy night.".
What an oldie but goodie song!
Makes me want to get up and do more than just chair dance.
lol
In Western MA it's drizzly bleak & dreary today....another not quite Spring yet day typical of New England!
Yesterday morning we had 3 Deer, 2 does and one buck grazing their way through-out our back yard! You ask how do we know it was a buck?
Well...... ( biology here people!) it's Springtime and ....
you know...... he was trying to do his thing.. ;]
I can only hope they come back with a fawn in a few months!!
We got a few awesome shots. I'll try to share a few with you.
Nothing is blooming here yet.
The street sanders from the harsh winter killed off all my crocus along most likely, with my daffodils and Hyacinth :{So sad!
Moles ate my tulips.. What's a girl to do??
Ok Blogger isn't letting me add any images this morning.
No spell check either.. I'm in trouble now!
I'll find a friend to help with that later.
Drat!
